Martin Wölfl studied Industrial Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) at the Technical University of Vienna, specializing in automotive drives systems, materials science and biomechanics (his thesis was on ‘Mechanical models for simulating rope team falls on glaciers’).

Whilst still a student, he began working in 2015 as a paralegal at a renowned Viennese patent attorney firm. After completing university in 2020, Martin Wölfl remained with the firm as a trainee patent attorney, during which time he had the opportunity to gain extensive experience, particularly in the fields of trademarks and litigation.

He has been a European Patent Attorney and Austrian Patent Attorney since 2025. On 1 April 2026, Martin Wölfl joined the Babeluk Patentanwälten as a partner. He is primarily responsible for matters in the fields of classical mechanics and mechanical engineering, materials science, optics, trade marks and litigation.
